L&N Stables is a passion project of ours and we are thrilled to be able to welcome you to our little piece of country paradise! We wanted to create an inclusive space for anyone to come experience the joy of horses.
We welcome anyone to come experience the joy of learning to ride and handle a horse – regardless of your level of experience. In fact, we hope you have NO experience at all! Our little herd of horses, along with Nikki’s coaching and Luke’s steady guidance, are here to teach you the foundational pieces of horse handling and riding.
Nikki grew up riding horses and started taking riding lessons when she was 7 years old. While she rides both English and Western, the English riding discipline is where her heart truly lies. Nikki rode competitively for many years with her horse, Slyder, before taking a step back from competition to complete her Education and Biology degrees. L&N Stables is a dream come true for Nikki, where she can combine her love of horses and passion for education. She believes horseback riding can benefit everyone and wants to share her love of horses with others.
Luke was introduced to the world of horses after meeting Nikki. He has dabbled in riding, but his passion lies in teaching and helping others. Luke has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology/Special Education along with a degree in History. He assists with all aspects of lessons and barn maintenance.
At L&N Stables we focus on teaching the basics of riding to new and beginner riders, ages 5 and up. Our lessons are designed to give those new to horses a solid foundation from which to grow – from basic horse handling to grooming to riding. Whether your want to be a show jumper, barrel racer, endurance rider, or trail rider, everyone must start at the beginning. Here at L&N Stables, our mission is to provide everyone with a safe and fun environment to learn these foundational skills.
We are very excited for the 2025 riding season! We will be offering lessons for 5 weeks from July 14 until August 15th of 2025. Please check our Facebook page for for more information and posts about our farm and horses!
